I awoke just before  early morning Light
I was sure I heard giggling and singing
at the park to our right
I slipped on my robe and stepped into my slippers,
hurried to the door and
down our block to the Park

There to my surprise I saw many angels
 running  and jumping
Their wings sparkled, their halos spinning
They were children of every imaginable size
Just having a wonderful Lark

I was so amazed I could not utter a sound.
Fluttering in front of me one
settled her feet on the ground
She gave me a big grin and said "Oh my you
you can see us. We're just playing while
earth's children sleep"
You see Heaven offers any choice we may speak

"Tell everyone who might believe
How happy we are
They all think were gone
But we are not away far"
We check on our families every night
then choose what we want for fun
before it gets bright"

"To us there is no night and day But if all
could see us we would frighten them away
So we play in the clouds and ride on the wind
Then when it is your night
we come back here to play again."

She turned and and floated away
back to the swing set and her angel friends
to play
The next day I awoke feeling so rested
and happy
Was it a dream? Or was it a real happening?
